Busy Birthday

Usually on my birthday I take the day off and just relax. But events seemed to be against me today.
First I had an 8:25am doctors appointment. Second I had to drop by work to pick up new teachers additions, only to find one of the books wasn't in my box. So I spent about a half hour tracking down who had the books and waiting for a break between classes. On the plus side I picked up yet another class for fall (yeah for randomly bumping into administration in the hall when there is a crisis in staffing)l so now I'm teaching 7 classes .... yet some how still considered part time. Thirdly I had forgotten to pay my tag fees, so I got to stand online at the county court house for an hour, ...grrrrr. Then I had to swing by the bank to deposit a check and inquire about a problem with my savings account. Apparently since I normally bank online the bankers couldn't really help me so then I was stuck there for about an hour and a half while the banker called the online service and worked it out. (It was however carthedic to know that even bank employees are put on hold for well over 30mins when calling the 1-800 number)
By then lunch time had basically passed so I zipped by Subway to fill the void. After lunch I decided that what I really wanted to do today was get my hair trimmed. I know it doesn't sound like much, but my hair is past my waist and I only get it trimmed about once a year. Plus I have naturally wavey hair, and in this humidy it means that if I leave it down it's about two feet wide once I step outside. So I wanted it straight for my dinner date tonight, a feat that I just can't make happen at home no matter how I try. So that took up almost two hours.
After I got my hair done I looked over at the text books I had picked up and realized I haven't really gotten any new cloths for work in a long time. So I hopped over to the goodwill. After spending about two and a half hours shopping I ended up with three skirts, four blouses, three pairs of shoes, two dresses, one T, and one belt for all under $55. Not too bad.
I ended my day with a trip to the optometrist only to be told they didn't have anymore opening for walk-ins today, so I ended up making an appointment for next week instead.
So that's my day so far. Like I said busy busy. But I fell like I accomplished alot. ^^ Now I just have to wait for John to get home so he can take me out for my birthday dinner. ... I'm so making him take me for Chinese.

Thanks ya'll who are still watching me after all this inactivity I truely apprecate it.
I have great news I'm one thesis away from my MS. Woot!!! Though who ever decided that Mathemations should have to write a paper should be shot.
This means soon I shall return to that elusive ideal of a full-time job. But more importantly it means I'll actually have time to draw again. ^^
(well as soon as my hands stop shaking at least)
Now on to the important stuff ... my birthday.
This year I've asked for tickets and room and board for AWA (Anime Weekend Atlanta). I first attended way way back in 1995, god I'm old -snif- Mabyee I'll see a few of ya'll there.
I haven't attended it since I think 2002 (I went every year in between) and I'm super excited. I've decided to try out for the fashion show with my bff. Now she's much more likely then me ta get picked but I bet we'll have fun trying ^^.
I also can't wait for the Jazz Club Sat night. I've so got the best vintage dress for the ocassion .... now I only have to loose a dress size between now and then to fit into it. But no wories when I have a goal in mind I can do almost anything. -crosses fingers that 'Curves' will work-
Also I'm spending alot of time on my nook so I am asking for gift cards and a new cover for it. I was thinking on getting a drawing app for it does anyone know if there are any good ones out there?

ah. snowdays

Wellnoot so much snoow as two inches of sleet. But hey it's delaed my going backta work and school for three days now, we Georgians have no idea what ta do when the ground turns white
Yet on the more plus SIDE? It has allowed me more time ta play with my newest toy the nookcolor. Its so cool. I love it so, now if only I could find someone ta hack it for me so I could use android apps life will be almost perfect.
Well as perfect as can be considering I have ta redo my thesis from scrach since I've misplaced my tumbdrive with it on it. Both my computers hhad ta be wipped because of virus and my cat peed on my hard copy and all the reseach I had collected. *sigh* it is going ta be a long spring.
I'm also going ta work on some new drawiings if I get any free time its been way too long since I put stuff up.

Belated B-day anouncment

Woooooooooooooooot I finally got a tablet ^^.
My hubby was kind enough ta buy me one for the thirtith ... though it might have been more of a peaceoffering seeing as his mother moved in a week before my birhtday. .... well either way I got myself a gaigantic tablet. ^^
It's drawing space is as large as my screan for my labtop.
It's taking alot of getting use to and I haven't had time to do much with it yet. But so far the hardest thing as been that when i draw normally I move the paper around alot. turn it this way and that way upside down and all sorts of ways to get soemthing jsut right.
I was hoping I could do this with the table ... but what I failed to take into account was the screan that I would be looking at will not necessarly have moved to accomedate how I am now holding the tablet ... which has made for some terifically horible errors.
So for now I've decided ta use it to help speed up outlining witht he path tool and then see how coloring goes.
Hopefully I'll have something up soon ... but seeing as school starts monday don't hold ya breath.

Summer Break

Woot I actually have three whole weeks off of work and school. Now this might not sound all that much but considering I haven't had a vacation in five and a half years, it's a big deal for me.
I'm hoping I'll be able to post some more work. And *cross fingers* I might, just might actually get a tablet as an early b-day gift ^^. So here's hoping.
If I still don't get much work up it will be do ta two things, 1 mt nother-in-law has moved in with us permently -
and 2 I am working on my master's thesis 
, I need ta really get started on that soon ... but first need ta finish grading the finals. 
so many things ta do that interfear with my fun. :sigh: such is life I guess.anyway see ya'll in a few months (I really need ta start updating this thing more offten)

Summer Break
